Custom Rom for Google Nexus 10 [ROM][JB 4.2.2][PA3.10][AOKP-MR1][CM10.1]P.A.C True All in 1 ROM[04/03][V21.0.1]

By editandroid.blogspot.com
Can't settle on a rom... Like one rom, but wish it had features of another... Well look no further...
PACman is a unique rom.
We have picked the best features from CM10, Aokp and PA and combined them in a single rom so you get the experience you deserve
To enjoy the features of every available project without the hassle of flashing regularly.
The Rom is rock stable for an average user but keep in mind the Rom is in WIP stage so expect some minor hickups but we are trying our best to resolve these issues
This is built entirely from source so its not a port, which in my opinion makes it a little more stable as its been made specifically for this device...
Source Available here.... PacMan
Features
* CM10.1 * AOKP - mako_jb-mr1_build-1 * Paranoid Android 3.10 *
I've decided to keep this rom simple and I've not added all the extras some other roms have added, because in my eyes keeping it simple keeps it more stable... If you want all those extras you can readily find them and flash them after the rom... but if you've flashed the extras don't complain in the thread about things not working....
Code:
CHANGELOG:
PACman v20.1.0
Added Swipe to QS
Fix FC when adjusting Radio Band
Added Bionic & Krait Optimizations

PACman v20.0.0
Settings FC's fixed
Compiler issues fixed

PACman v19.9.1
Updated to 4.2.2
Paranoid Android updated to 3.00

Initial Release
PACman v19.9.0
CM10.1
AOKP
Paranoid Android 2.99 with Pie
MultiUser Added
Whats not working? You tell us
You Tell Me
1. Download rom ... Duh!
2. Put rom on SD card
3. Make sure you have latest Gapps on there too
4. Factory Wipe/Data Reset, Wipe Cache and Wipe Dalvik Cache
5. Flash Rom
6. Flash Gapps
7. Some like to wipe cache again... If you normally do that, then do it
8. Reboot
9. Enjoy the Rom...

How to Root Sony Xperia Z For locked & Unlocked Bootloaders

xperia-z-white-1240x840-8ff005dc9465d780126a15f59efcc7bc-opt

PLEASE READ THE COMPLETE POST BEFORE YOU TRY THIS!
Disclaimer/Warning!:
By editandroid.blogspot.com
users are reporting that NFC is broken after this root method (easy fix by goroh_kun here)
if u had an unlockable bootloader device, after using this method the device will be detected as LOCKED or unlock not possible!!! (to fix this use this fix)

Requirements:
  • Xperia Z with stock Sony JB firmware (as of now tested on: 10.1.D.0.31710.1.D.0.32210.1.A.1.350)
  • works on both locked/unlockable bootloaders!
  • ADB drivers installed (use this file incase u need to install drivers)
IMPORTANT: if you are using Windows 8 you will need to enable few things to allow driver installation
  • Rooting Toolkit package provided below
How-to:
  1. increase screen timeout to 10 mins: Settings -> Display -> Sleep -> 10 mins
  2. enable USB debugging : Settings -> Developer options -> Enable and Settings -> Developer options -> USB Debugging (check it)
  3. enable install from "unknown sources": Settings -> Security -> Unknown source (check it)
  4. download the rooting toolkit package and save it on C:\
  5. exit all adb requiring apps like PC Suite, PC Companion, Flashtool, etc as they will interfere with the rooting process
  6. extract the ENTIRE contents of the package (and not just one file) to some directory on c:\
  7. once you are ready with all the above connect phone to PC and execute "runme.bat" from the location where the entire contents are extracted
  8. press enter to start the process, as the device is detected the toolkit will start executing steps one by one
  9. keep watching the command prompt and wait for the following to come up "press the button to restore the data in your phone"
  10. at this point look at the device screen, an app will start, select RESTORE data
  11. now u will get "if Restoring data is complete," in the command prompt
  12. at this point open Phone & dial *#*#7378423#*#*
  13. select "Service tests" in your phone operation.
  14. select "Display" (screen will turn white), the toolkit will now start executing some commands
  15. now press power button to turn off screen wait for few seconds and press it power button again (repeat it a few time) till then keep observing the command prompt for outputs
  16. u will see "transfer files to your phone part2", "installing busybox,su,Superuser,etc..." & finally "Cleaning up"
  17. after that the device should automatically reboot
  18. thats it device should now be rooted
Troubleshooting:
if your device has unlockable bootloader then after applying this hack the bootloader status will turn "Bootloader unlock allowed: No"
in that case dont worry the users have reported that doing a repair via SEUS will flash back stock firmware and turn this status to "Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes" (the same might also be achieved by flashing a stock FTF using FlashTool <yet to be confirmed>)
ROOT WILL BE LOST BY DOING THE ABOVE AND YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE MAY GET WIPED!
SO DO A BACKUP OF APPS & INTERNAL STORAGE ON AN EXTERNAL SDCARD/PC
FAQ:
  1. will this wipe /data
NO. since we are not unlocking the bootloader the /data partition will not be wiped
  2. do i need to unlock bootloader for this to work?
    NO.
  3. will i lose Bravia Engine 2 ?
    NO.
  4. does rooting without unlocking the bootloader still voids warranty.
Not if you get back on clean Stock ROM

razrhd
I grabbed this from the Razr M forums, it will work for a variety of new Motorola Devices.
By editandroid.blogspot.com
Instructions:
  1. Download
  2. Unzip
  3. Install Motorola Drivers
  4. Enable USB Debugging on Phone
  5. Plug Into PC
  6. Run The Batch File "Run"
  7. Follow Along the CMD Prompt for Progress & Let it Finish
  8. Enjoy and Hope for some Developers to Pick Up This Phone to Rom
**UPDATE**JellyBean OTA In order to update to the latest OTA without losing root you need to:
  • Be Rooted on ICS
  • Use VooDoo Rootkeeper to do the following
  1. Protect Root
  2. Temp Unroot
  3. Take the JB OTA
  4. Restore Root
Enjoy being both on the latest and rooted. Remember, do not just take the update without doing both those two things as there is no root exploit currently available for JB.
This is a one-click-method so all you have to do is the prerequisites and it will do the rest for you.

How to Unroot:
Thanks shabbypenguin for posting this.
You can manually unroot your Droid by using a root file manager program (such as root explorer) and mountsystem as R/W. Then delete the following:
/system/app/Superuser.apk
/system/bin/su
and if it has it
/system/xbin/su

Downloads:
Here's the link to the drivers: Motorola Drivers
Root File is attached to the Post, but here are some Mirrors:
Mirror 1
Mirror 2
Rooting your phone works whether you have the Developer version or not.
Hit thanks if this made you happy!

How to Root & Install CWM Recovery in Sony Xperia J

sony-xperia-j
Make sure u are in 11.0.A.3.28 or 11.0.A.3.18 firmware
ALONE with Locked Bootloader..
This method Dosent Work on 11.0.A.7.5 Firmware!
By editandroid.blogspot.com

for 11.0.A.3.28 firmware download from here and flash it
if u dont have a flash tool download it from here for windows and install drivers located in C:\Flashtool\drivers (choose all drivers)
since flash tool does not have xperia j drivers..u may hav flashing problem...for that
1.download and extract d ST26.zip ive uploaded
2.open flash tool
3.click devices>import
4.navigate to d file u've extracted
5.now xperia j driver is installed
u can now flash without problems
Now back to rooting...
Root first! thn apply CWM!
Steps for Rooting:
1.extract Root_J.zip
2.make sure 'usb debugging' is enabled in devolpment settings
3.double click Runme.bat file for windows users...runme.sh for linux users
4.wait for process to finish (mostly should work)
Steps for CWM:
1.extract CWM_J.zip
2.'usb debugging' on
3.double click 'install.bat' only for windows (linux not working! my bad..)
4.wait for it.....installed! close the shell program and switch off the phone..
Plug in charger or USB....the phone switches on....press up and down volume keys repeatedly when SONY logo flashes.....voila u get into CWM!
You need plugged in charger or USB to goto CWM! Else
CWM wont Work!!
reboot to system and see if supersu is installed  finish! ur phone is rooted and cwm is installed !!
CWM has little bugs ..but its a never mind stuff..
use arrow keys to navigate..power button to select and 'go back' option in cwm itself to go to previous options.

[Tutorial] Root, Unlock, Recovery and flashing a Custom ROM HTC One

HTC_One_360_Wide
This guide is especially for the new users, experienced HTC users should already be familiar with this process.
By editandroid.blogspot.com
Step 1: Unlock
  • Go on http://www.htcdev.com and create yourself an account on HTCDEV.
  • Download these adb/fastboot files
  • Make a new folder on your C:/ drive called fastboot for example.
  • Extract the zip downloaded in step 2 to the new folder
  • Go Here http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader/ and select "All Other Supported Models" and "then begin unlock bootloader"
  • Yes, Tick both Boxes, Proceed
  • Skip up to step 8 as we have all we need for the first 7 steps
  • Power off your phone by holding the power button down for 10 seconds
  • Power your phone on by holding power and volume down
  • Highlight Fastboot With Volume+or- then press Power
  • Plug your phone into your PC and open a Command Prompt.
  • (windows XP - Click Start > Run > type CMD in box then press OK
  • (Windows 7 - Click Start > type CMD in search box then press Enter)
  • Change directory to your folder where we put fastboot files cd c:\fastboot
  • Type this into your command prompt window fastboot oem get_identifier_token
  • Select & copy the text as per step 9 on the HTCDev website
  • Paste your identifier token into the box at the bottom and submit
  • You Will Very Shortly Receive an email from HTCDev with a link to the second part of the instructions and your "Unlock_code.bin" attached
  • Download the "Unlock_code.bin" from the email and save it to the same folder that we extracted fastboot files to in step 2
  • Type this into your command prompt window fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
  • The Display Will change on your phone, press Vol + to accept and power to confirm.
Step 2: Recovery
  • Download the Android SDK (optional)
  • Download the recovery of your choice, here a few links:
    CWM
    TWRP
  • Place the Recovery file you downloaded where the fastboot.exe is (Either in the location of your downloaded fastboot drivers or in the Android SDK directory)
  • Now open the cmd and navigate to the folder where the Recovery File is located or just open a cmd with shift and right click at the correct directory
  • Now type:
    fastboot flash recovery name_of_the_recovery.img
    For example:
    fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.2.8-m7.img
Now your recovery is installed
Step 3: Root
  • Now root your phone with SuperSU by Chainfire or SuperUser by koush
  • Download SuperSU from this link or SuperUser from this link
  • Flash it with the Recovery:
  • Power off your device and then hold the VOL DOWN + Power to boot into the Bootloader
  • Navigate with VOL and Power to Recovery
  • Now flash the .zip:
    - install zip from sdcard
    - choose zip from sdcard
    - select the downloaded SuperSU/SuperUser zip file and flash it
    - Reboot now
Now you are able to flash any Custom ROM.
Step 4: Custom ROM
With htcdev unlock you need to flash the boot.img after every ROM installation
  • Download the ROM you want to flash
  • Open the ROM zip with an archive manager and extract the boot.img out of it and place it in your fastboot directory
  • Copy the ROM to your sdcard
  • Now boot into bootloader again (explained above) and choose recovery with your volume keys and power button
  • In recovery wipe data and cache aka fullwipe before flashing your ROM if you are moving to a new base (for example from CyanogenMod to a Sense ROM, don't forget to backup your data files, like apps) (Often ROM chefs leave a note in their thread if a fullwipe is needed or not, just follow their advices)
  • Now flash your ROM by installing zip from sdcard
  • If this is finished, reboot and reboot into bootloader again
  • Connect your phone to your PC in fasboot mode (choose in bootloader with power button)
  • Open a cmd in your fastboot folder with your boot.img and type these two commands:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase cache
  • Then reboot your phone and wait some minutes to see your ROM booted
  • Enjoy
