How to Root/Install Playstore in the Huawei Ascend Mate

With root-access on your Ascend Mate, you can enjoy root-only apps, flash custom recoveries and even delete any unwanted system apps. Follow the following guide to root your Huawei Ascend Mate smartphone.

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. This procedure works on Windows based PCs only.

3. You should have appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, get them from here.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Root Package

2. Root Assistant

3. Google Playstore

III. Rooting the Huawei Ascend Mate:

1. Download and place both the files onto your Desktop.

2. Extract files from the Root Package archive over to your Desktop.

3. Enable the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Developer options>>USB debugging.

4. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

5. Now double-click on the file named ROOT_MATE.bat available on your Desktop.

6. Press any key to continue.

7. It will start rooting your device.

8. You should be rooted now.

9. Now head to Menu>>Settings>>Applications on your device and enable the Unknown sources option.

10. Copy the Root Assistance APK over to the root of your SD card.

11. Open the File Manager app on your device and install the APK you copied earlier.

12. Once it’s been installed, launch it from your App Drawer.

13. Checkmark the first box that says ROOT and close the app.

14. You should now have Superuser app in your App Drawer.

15. You’re all set!

How to Install Google Playstore in Huawei Ascend Mate:

1. Download the Playstore.zip file from above.
2. Move it into your SDcard.
3. Open it with Filemanager.
4. Now first Install Google Playstore Service and then Playstore.
5. Now you can Acess Playstore in your Huawei Ascend Mate.
