How To Root and Install CWM Recovery In Nvidia Shield Tablet

Before You Begin:

  1. This method works for Nvidia Shield Tablet Only. Don’t try on other devices.
  2. Make sure that Unknown sources are enable in your device. If not go to Settings > Security > Device Administration > Unknown Source  (tick to enable it) .
  3. Your device must be charged 50% minimum.
  4. We recommend you to make a backup of your data.

How To Root Your Device:

  • Download and Install TowelRoot application (tr.apk) in your Nvidia Shield Tablet.
  • After installation, You'll find TowelRoot application in your App Drawer.

I. Before You Begin

1. You should’ve rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. This only works for the SM-T535 model of the device.
3. This should only work on Windows based PCs.
4. You should’ve appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you haven’t, download and install the latest drivers from here.

II. Downloading Required Files

1. Download Odin and save it to your desktop.
2. Download the appropriate stock firmware for your device and save it to your desktop.

III. Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 (LTE)

1. Extract files from Odin as well as Stock Firmware to your desktop by right-clicking on each of them and selecting Extract here.
2. Double-click on Odin executable and it’ll open.
3. Click on PDA and choose the stock firmware file you just extracted to your desktop.
4. Uncheck Repartition if it’s already checked in the Odin.
5. Put a checkmark in the boxes that say Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.
6. Turn OFF your device.
7. Turn it back on by holding down Volume DOWN, Home, and Power buttons together.
8. Press Volume UP and your device should be in Download mode.
9. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
10. Click on Start in the Odin and it’ll start flashing the stock firmware on your device.
11. When the firmware’s flashed, your device should automatically reboot.
12. And you’re all set!
Your Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 (LTE variant) is now running the official stock firmware and is now unrooted.

I. Before You Begin

1. This will void the warranty of your device. We won’t be held responsible if you end-up bricking or damaging your device. Do it at your own risk.
2. This only works for the EK-GC200 model of the device.
3. This should only work on Windows based PCs.
4. You should’ve appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you haven’t, you can download and install the latest drivers fromhere.

II. Downloading Required Files

1. Download Odin and save it to your desktop.
2. Download CF-Root and save it to your desktop.

III. Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2

1. Extract files from Odin and CF-Root to your desktop by right-clicking on each of them and selecting Extract here.
2. Double-click on Odin executable and it’ll launch.
3. Click on PDA and choose the CF-Root file that you just extracted to your desktop.
4. Make sure Repartition is unchecked in the Odin.
5. Checkmark the boxes that say Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.
6. Turn OFF your device.
7. Turn it back on by holding down Volume DOWN, Home, and Power buttons together.
8. Press Volume UP and you should be in Download mode.
9. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.

How to Root/Install CWM Custom Recovery the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0

 I.  Before You Begin

1. Rooting your device may void your warranty or damage your device. Proceed at your own risk.
2.  Charge your device to 75% or more and back up everything you feel is important before you start.
3.  Make sure you have the necessary drivers installed before you start.  Installing Samsung Kies usually takes care of this.

II.  Necessary Downloads

2.  T110.CWM.v6.0.4.8.tar.md5 [Download link available in this post under the  CWM Recovery 6.0.4.8 section at the beginning of the post]
3.  android-armeabi-universal-root-signed.zip [File attached to this post]

III.  Installing Custom Recovery on the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0

1.  Enable USB debugging on your device by going to Settings > Developer options.  If you do not find Developer options on your device,  go to Settings > About phone and keep tapping on the build number until you see the message ‘You are now a developer.’
2.  Connect your device to your PC and copy android-armeabi-universal-root-signed.zip to your device’s SD card (internal or external); copy it to the main folder, not into any subfolders.
3.  Disconnect your device and power it down.
4.  Boot your device into Download mode.  To do this, press and hold the Volume Down + Home + Power buttons simultaneously for five seconds or so until you see the warning screen, then press the Volume Up button.
5.  Extract Odin_v3.07.zip to a folder on your desktop.
6.  From the extracted folder, double-click on Odin3 v3.07.exe to run the Odin tool.
7.  On Odin, uncheck the Auto Reboot tickbox and make sure that only F. Reset Time is ticked under the Option section.  This is important as ticking anything else here could end up bricking your device.
8.  Connect your device (now in Download mode) to your PC using a compatible microUSB cable.  The ID:COM field should now show the message ‘ADDED!’ which means your device is recognized and ready for flashing.  If not, reinstall drivers and try again.
9.  Click on the PDA button on Odin and navigate to the location of T110.CWM.v6.0.4.8.tar.md5, select it and then click Open to load it on to Odin.
10.  Click on Start to starting flashing the ClockworkMod Recovery file.
11.  Wait until you see the RES OK! message and then reboot your device directly into the custom recovery using the Volume Up + Home + Power buttons simultaneously; let go of the Power button when you see the Samsung logo but continue holding the Volume Up and Home buttons until you get into recovery.
You now have ClockworkMod Recovery installed on your device!

IV.  Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0

1.  Once in recovery, use the volume buttons to highlight ‘install zip from sdcard’ and use the home button to execute the option.
2.  Navigate to the location of the android-armeabi-universal-root-signed.zip file you copied to your SD card above and highlight and select it.
3.  Select Yes on the next screen.
4.  Once flashed, go back to the main menu and select ‘reboot system now.’
Your Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 is now rooted!

How to Root the Moto G 4G/LTE Easy Method



Learn How to Root the Moto G 4G/LTE with easy method and step by step instructions.

I. Before You Begin

1.  Rooting your device may void your warranty or damage your device.  Proceed at your own risk.
2.  Charge your device to 75% or more before you begin to prevent unwanted shutdowns.
3.  Back up everything you feel is important before you start, just in case.
4.  You will need a Moto G 4G with an unlocked bootloader for this procedure to work.  Keep in mind that unlocking your bootloader may void your warranty (and will definitely delete your data), so decide if you really want to be rooted before you proceed.
5.  Make sure that the necessary drivers are installed before you begin.

II.  Necessary Downloads

1.  UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.01.zip (or latest version available)
2.  openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.1-xt1032.img (file attached to this post)

III.  Rooting the Moto G 4G/LTE

1. Connect your device to your PC and copy the UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.01.zip file you downloaded above to your device’s internal SD card (copy it to the main folder of the SD card; do not put it into any subfolders).  Disconnect your device.
2.  Rename openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.1-xt1032.img to recovery.img
3.  Extract adb-fastboot.zip to a folder on your desktop.  Copy recovery.img to this folder.
4.  Boot your device into fastboot mode.  To do this, with the device powered off, press and hold the Volume Down + Power buttons simultaneously until you are in fastboot mode.
5.  Connect your device to your PC using a compatible microUSB cable.  At this point, if there are any drivers being installed, let them do so before continuing.
6.  Hold the Shift key on your keyboard and right-click on any empty space in the adb-fastboot folder and click on ‘Open command window here’ to open up a command prompt window.
7.  Run the following command to verify that your device is connected and recognized properly (your device ID should show up as a string of alphanumeric characters).

8.  Now run the following command to boot to TWRP Touch Recovery.
fastboot boot recovery.img
9.  Once the custom recovery is flashed and TWRP Recovery is loaded on your device, tap on the Install button.
10.  Navigate to the location of UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.01.zip and add it to the flash queue.
11.  Swipe the ‘Swipe to confirm flash’ button.
12.  Once flashed, go back to the main menu and tap on Reboot System.
That’s it!  Your Moto G 4G/LTE is now completely rooted!

I.  Before You Begin

1.  This procedure only applies to the original Samsung Galaxy Gear (SM-V700) running Tizen; do not try this on the Samsung Galaxy Gear 2.
2.  Make sure you have the necessary drivers installed for this procedure to work before you start.

II.  Necessary Downloads

1.  SM-V700_tizen_to_android.zip [Download link available in this post]

III.  Flashing Android to Samsung Galaxy Gear

1.  Extract SM-V700_tizen_to_android.zip to a folder on your desktop.
2.  Extract the Odin_v3.09.zip file you downloaded above to a folder on your desktop.
3.  From the extracted folder, double-click on Odin3 v3.09.exe to run the tool.
4.  Put your device into recovery mode.  To do this, with the device on, press and hold the power button until you see the message ‘rebooting.’  Now, press the power button a few times until you see a menu; use the Volume Up and Down buttons to select Download, then press and hold the Power button.
5.  Connect your device to your PC using a compatible USB cable.  The ID:COM field on Odin should now light up blue and you should see the “ADDED!” message to signify that your device is connected and recognized properly.  If not, reinstall drivers and try again.
5.  Click on AP button, locate 1_dn_android.tar from the extracted SM-V700_tizen_to_android folder and click on OK to load it on Odin.  Click on the PIT button, locate ls02_android.pit and click on OK to load it on to Odin.
5.  Make sure that the Re-Partition and Flash Lock are unchecked, and only Auto-Reboot is checked.  This is important as you might brick your device if these options are ticked!
6.  Click on Start.
7.  Once you see the message ‘PASS,’ let your device reboot.

IV.  Flashing Android Recovery

Follow the same steps as in Section III, but use the 2_recovery.img.tar file this time.  Let your device reboot once done.
You have now successfully downgraded your Samsung Galaxy Gear to Android!

  • Turn Off your device completely. Press and hold Volume Down + Power Button at same time for few seconds and it'll boot your device in Fastboot mode.
  • Connect your device to PC with USB Cable (Make sure USB drivers are installed successfully).
  • Now open the folder where msfastboot-v2 is extracted, Press SHIFT button + Mouse right click and select Open command window here.
  • A command window will appear on your desktop, type fastboot flash recovery moto_e_twrp2.7.0.0_v1.2.img
  • Flashing will take few seconds after flashing turn off your device again.
  • Now boot your device again in Fastboot mode and press Volume Down to select Recovery and then Volume Up to boot into Recovery mode.
  • Your device will go to Recovery Mode now, tap on Install  and select SuperSU zip file and flash it.
  • After flashing SuperSU zip file, go to main menu of Recovery and select Reboot System option.
That's it! Your Moto E is successfully rooted now and have Custom Recovery installed.

    • Download and extract DV.zip file on your desktop (You will find a DVfolder in zip file)
    • Now move the download TWRP Recovery Image (openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.0-find7a.img) to the DVfolder on desktop.
    • Power Off your device completely. Now press and hold Volume Up and Power Button together until you see fastboot (bootloader) mode.
    • Connect your device to PC with USB cable.
    • Open the DVfolder on desktop. Press Right Click while holding SHIFT key on empty space inside folder. Right Click menu will appear. Select Open Command window here.
    • A CMD window will open in your PC. Type the following command in CMD and hit Enter (This will flash TWRP Custom Recovery in your device).
      fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.0-find7a.img
    • Flashing of Custom Recovery Image will take few second.
    • Now type following command in CMD and hit Enter button again.
      fastboot reboot
    This command will reboot your device in normal mode. That's it, Custom Recovery is successfully installed in your device. If you want to boot your device in Recovery Mode, Power Off your device, Now Press and Hold Volume Down and Power Button together until you see TWRP Recovery.

    How To Root Oppo Find 7a:

    • Download SuperSU zip file (UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.9.zip) from Download Section given above.
    • Connect your device to PC and move SuperSU zip file (UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.9.zip) in your Oppo Find 7a.
    • Disconnect your device from PC.
    • Reboot your device in Recovery Mode. Press & Hold Volume Down + Power Button at the same time until you see  Recovery Mode.
    • In Recovery Mode tap on Install and select the SuperSU zip file (UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.9.zip).
    • Confirm your selection.
    • Once the flashing of zip file successfully go back to main menu of  Recovery Mode and select reboot system now.
    Congrats!! Your device is successfully rooted now..
