
We’re going to guide to to attain root permissions on your N1 and Install TWRP custom recovery on it. Which in turn will enable you to use Root requiring apps, tweaks, custom ROMs and much more.
Warnings:
Below are some warning statements that you must be knowing before preparing to Root or Install Custom Rom in your Oppo N1 Android Smartphone:
- Rooting/Installing Custom ROM is not an authorized process hence you’ll be losing all your warranty benefits over your Oppo N1 after Rooting/Installing it.
- There are certain risks of damaging your Android Smartphone while Rooting/Installing Custom ROM in it. Hence, it is recommended that you proceed at your own risk and we are not to be held responsible even if your Smartphone gets damaged during or after completing the Rooting/Custom ROM installation process.
- You might not receive any future official software or firmware updates after rooting and installing Custom ROM in your Oppo N1.
Before You Begin:
- Create a backup of all your device’s data.
- Enable USB debugging mode in your device. Click Here if you don’t know how to enable.
- Make sure that your device is charged at least 70% for safe installation.
- Download and Insall Android SDK in your PC :Click Here
- Fastboot binary (Place in <android-sdk-directory>/tools): Click Here
- Enable Unknown Resources under Settings > Security.
Download Required Files:
- Download Latest TWRP Recovery : Click Here
- Download the Root exploit (Oppown-build3.apk): Click Here
How To Install TWRP Recovery In Oppo N1:
- Follow all step given in Before You Begin section and download files from Download section.
- Now connect your device to PC via USB cable.
- Go to the directory where the recovery image file is download, press the SHIFT key and right click on an empty space, select open command prompt here.
- Type the following command to reboot your device to fastboot mode
[alert type=white ]adb reboot bootloader[/alert]
- Flash the recovery using the following command. Make sure to replace x.x.x.x with the version label of your downloaded recovery image.
[alert type=white ]fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-x.x.x.x-N1.img[/alert]
- Now, Reboot your device. You can boot your device with following command.
[alert type=white ]adb reboot recovery[/alert]
TWRP custom recovery is successfully flashed in your Oppo N1.
How To Root Oppo N1:
- Download Root exploit from the Download Required Files section.
- Connect your device to PC via USB cable and transfer Apk file in your device or Download directly in your device.
- Install the Oppown-build3.apk app in your Oppo N1.
- Run the App from the app drawer and wait for ~1 minute.
- Now, open the Google Play Store and Install SuperSU by Chainfire
- Once SuperSU has been installed, connect your device to the PC, open a command prompt window and type the following command:
[alert type=white ]adb uninstall com.qualcomm.privinit[/alert]
- You can now reboot your device.
Congrats!!! your Oppo N1 is successfully rooted now... :)
