
Today we will show you how to root Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7 running on Android 4.2.2 jellybean
Before You Begin
- Windows Based PC or Laptop.
- This method is tested & working on P3100 & P3110 Only.
- Download & Install Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Drivers
- Enable USB Debugging in your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.Don’t know how to enable Click Here
- Your phone must be charged 50% minimum.
- Make a backup for your data safety.
Download Required Files:
- Odin 1.85
- Recovery (For Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Wifi Model)
- Recovery (For Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 GSM Model)
- Root Package
How To Root & Install Custom Recovery In Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7:
- Download all files given above (In Download Required Files Section).
- Download & Extract Odin 1.85 zip file.
- Download Custom Recovery for your tablet.
- Copy and place root package file into you device's external SDcard.
- Power Off your device.
- Boot your device in Download Mode (Press & Hold Volume Down + Home + Power Button )
- You should see a Warning message press Volume Up and continue.
- Now you are in Download Mode.
- Launch Odin v1.85.exe file from the extracted (Odin 1.85) folder.
- Connect your device via USB Cable to PC.
- Wait for turn on the Com Port Yellow and a Added message at the lower left message box.
- After your device is connected with Odin , Click on the PDA button and select the custom recovery .tar.md5 file.
- Check the Auto Reboot option and Uncheck the Repartition option.
- Click on Start Button to start flashing of custom recovery on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.
- After Successful flashing a Green PASS message will show.If you fail to flash .tar.md5 rename and remove .md5 from the file.
- Your device shall reboot automatically.
- Now Reboot your device in Recovery Mode (Press & Hold Volume Up + Home + Power Button )
- Now you are in Recovery Mode.
- In custom recovery , Select "install zip from sdcard" and then select "choose zip from sdcard".
- Browse & Select the Root zip package.
- Click Yes to confirm installation .
- After successful installation go back to Recovery Home menu and reboot you device.
Congratss!!! you device is successfully rooted now..
