Install CyanogenMod 14 / CM14 Custom ROM on OnePlus 3

OnePlus 3 is the developer-friendly phone, and most of the dev are always working on this device to release custom ROMS. Now the Unofficial CyanogenMod 14 is available for Oneplus 3. The unofficial ROM is based on the stock Android 7.0 Nougat. Which means all OnePlus 3 users get to enjoy the latest version of Android on their phones. Oneplus 3 is running on the Android 6.0.1 marshmallow, but now you update your phone with this unofficial CyanogenMod 14 and enjoy the Android 7 Nougat.
The ROM is in alpha stage, and some of the features are not working this CM 14 build. So it is not recommended to use CM14 on your OnePlus 3 as a daily driver. But if you want to test the ROM on your phone, then you can do that. Follow the below mention steps and install the CM 14 ROM on Oneplus 3.

 CHECK PHONE MODEL

This guide is only for the Oneplus 3 android smartphone. Don’t try this method on any of other Android devices, It may hard brick your device. So, first confirm your phone model number in your android phone settings. To do this Go the Settings page of your device and check out the “About Device” option.

1. BACKUP YOUR ANDROID DATA

2. CHARGE YOUR ANDROID

If your device switched off during this process, it could damage or brick the device. Make sure that your Android battery is full charge or near about 50-70% battery level.
After following the above mention steps follow the below mention guide one by one to proceed with the tutorial. All the above mention steps are very important, so do follow all the steps and do exactly what is told.

Install Android 7.0 Nougat on OnePlus 3 with CyanogenMod 14

1) Download both CyanogenMod 14 for Oneplus 3 and Gapps and save it on your phones memory.
2) Now Boot your OP3 into Recovery mode by press and hold “Volume Down+Power Button.”
3) Once OP3 in recovery mode do a Factory Reset. Go to Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Select Wipe cache, Dalvik cache, System, and data and swipe to confirm it.
3) Now go back. Select Install and locate the ROM zip file & swipe to Install the ROM file. After the process completes, Flash the GApps zip file.
5) Now wipe cache & Dalvik cache again and Reboot your device.
