How To Root and Load CWM Recovery on the Asus Transformer

This is an easy method of rooting and installing ClockworkMod Recovery on your Asus Transformer without needing to access a computer.  Everything can be done in a matter of minutes and is among the fastest and easiest methods available. Note:  This may not work for all models of Transformers and specifically models with a serial number starting with B70 or later.

What You Need:

  1. A working Asus Transformer (this can not be used to un-brick your device).
  2. Updated to the latest version of the stock Asus ROM (version 8.6.5.19).

Download Necessary Files:

  1. Follow the link HERE for the latest version of Razorclaw.
  2. RecoveryInstaller HERE .

Install Razorclaw (One-Click Root):

  1. On your Transformer, navigate to Settings > Applications > and make sure “Unknown Sources” is check marked.
  2. Install the Razorclaw tool you downloaded and launch the application.
  3. Click the “Root me nao!” button at the top of the screen.
  4. Verify that the application successfully rooted your device as per the dialog at the bottom of the screen.

Install RecoveryInstaller (One-Click Recovery):

  1. Install the RecoveryInstaller tool you downloaded and launch the application.
  2. Tap on the very large “Click to Flash Recovery” button at the top of the page.
  3. Your Transformer should prompt you for Superuser permission – Select “allow” when prompted.
  4. Transformer will now reboot, install the recovery, and ultimately bring you back to your lockscreen.
  5. Test to make sure you have ClockworkMod recovery by powering the device off then press and hold the Vol- and Power button until the screen turns on.  There will be white text at the top of the screen prompting you to press the Vol+ button to enter recovery.  Verify that you are taken into the ClockworkMod recovery.
  6. Reboot by selecting “reboot system now”.

Here you done!!! :D
