Root the T-Mobile SpringBoard
T-Mobile SpringBoard a nice Android device boasting a 7″ inch screen along with some other handsome specifications. Although the device doesn’t support GSM calls, it can be used to make calls over WiFi network. If you just picked this up from T-Mobile and wondering how you could root it, probably to install root-only apps and remove bloatware, then the guide below is all you need. I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.
2. This procedure should work on Windows based PCs only.
3. This flashes a custom recovery on your device as well.

II. Downloading Required Files:

III. Rooting the T-Mobile SpringBoard:

1. Place all three files you’ve downloaded to your Desktop.
2. Extract files from Fastboot as well as ClockworkMod Recovery archives over to your Desktop.
3. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.
4. Copy the SuperSU file over to the root of your SD card.
5. Once the file’s been copied, unplug your device from your PC.
6. Turn OFF your device.
7. Turn it back on by holding down Volume UP+Power buttons together.
8. Your device should reboot into Fastboot mode.
9. Now plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
10. Launch a Command Prompt Window on your Desktop. To do that, simply hold down the Shift button and right-click anywhere on your Desktop and choose Open command window here.
11. Type in following command into the Command Prompt Window. Make sure to replace recovery.img with the actual name of the Recovery Image you downloaded:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
12. It should flash the recovery on your device.
13. Once the recovery’s been flashed, reboot your device.
14. Turn OFF your device.
15. Turn it back on by holding down Volume DOWN+Power buttons together.
16. You should now be in the newly installed recovery mode.
17. Select install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip from sdcard.
18. Choose the SuperSU zip to be flashed on your device.
19. It’ll begin flashing the zip on your device.
20. Once it’s been flashed, reboot your device.
21. And you’re done!
Excellent! You’ve successfully rooted your T-Mobile SpringBoard device and the rest of the work is now yours!
