I. Before You Begin:
1. You’ll void the warranty of your device if you root it. However, unrooting will help you get your warranty back.
2. Make sure the battery level on your device is not less than 60%.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Root Package
III. Rooting the Motorola Photon 4G:
1. Download and place the Root Package on your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the Root Package to your Desktop. Do NOT run any files just yet.
3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device from Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.
4. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
5. Make sure that your device isn’t mounted as a drive on your PC.
6. Next, double-click on the PrevailToExistance.bat file you placed on your Desktop.
7. Follow any instructions you see on your screen.
8. And you’re rooted now!
