How to Root the ZTE Blade

Root the ZTE Blade
The users of the ZTE Blade smartphone are still stuck at Android 2.2 Froyo and there seems to be no update coming out for the users, at least we haven’t got any news, yet. If you’re one of many users of this device and want to keep the device alive for at least a few months, then you should root it. Rooting will open a whole world of root-only apps for you, where you’ll be able to install the apps that actually tweak your system to let you enjoy the true potential of your device. Here’s how you can root your ZTE Blade smartphone.

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.
2. Make sure your device has at least 50% of battery life left.

1. Place the z4Root APK file onto your Desktop.
2. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
3. Copy the APK file over to the root of your SD card.
4. Once the file has been copied, unplug your device from your PC.
5. On your device, head to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development and enable the USB debuggingoption.
6. Open the File Manager app on your device and install the APK you just copied.
7. Once installed, open the app from your App Drawer.
8. Tap on Root button in the app and it’ll start rooting your device.
9. And you should be rooted now!
