Maybe you’ve screwed up your rooted Atrix HD and it’s not responding as it should? No worries, you can always flash the stock firmware to bring back the device to its out-of-the box state and the most valuable thing you’re getting back is your lost warranty. Like there’re advantages of rooting a device, unrooting has its own advantages. So, if you’re ready to unroot your Motorola Atrix HD and get it back to stock, then head on to the following guide.
BY EditAndroid
I. Before You Begin:
1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. Your device needs to have at least 70% of battery life left.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. RSD Lite
III. Unrooting the Motorola Atrix HD:
1. Place both the files you downloaded to your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the RSD Lite archive to your Desktop.
3. Double-click on the RSD Lite executable file and it will launch.
4. Click on “…” and select the Stock Firmware file you downloaded to your Desktop.
5. Turn OFF your device.
6. Reboot the device into Fastboot mode. To do so, press and hold the Volume UP+Volume DOWN+Powerbuttons together.
7. Connect your device to your PC via USB cable.
8. Select the AP Fastboot option on your device.
9. Click Start button in the RSD Lite tool and it will start flashing the firmware.
10. Once it’s done, reboot your device.
11. And you’re good to go!
Great! Your device is now back to the stock firmware with no root access. You should be glad to know that your warranty has been restored!
